Ventures / Snook A Look

Live · Dubai

Break the wait.
Beat the queue.

Snook A Look is Rivora's first public venture: proof the engine can carry a product thesis all the way to the App Store and Google Play. This is the product story.

01 · The problem

A market with two blind sides.

For players

Playing pool should not require luck

Players drive to a club hoping a table is free. They wait with no visibility, no way to book, and no way to find an opponent at their level. The result: same venue, same people, wasted nights.

For clubs

Prime tables sit empty

Venues have no digital way to show availability, take reservations, or reach players beyond their regulars. Demand is managed over the phone, and utilisation swings between packed and dead.

02 · The product

One marketplace, two experiences.

Find a table. Find a match. Play tonight.

  • Discover: a live map of Dubai clubs with open-table counts, prices, and hours
  • Book: pick a table type, pick a 30-minute slot, pay in AED, done
  • Match: Quick Match auto-pairs by skill tier and distance; Challenge picks a specific rival; Private Match invites a friend
  • The hook: flip on "loser pays the table" and the frame suddenly matters
Snook A Look discover screen: dark map of Dubai with club cards showing open tables

Product preview: screens from the live app.

03 · The journey

Thesis to release, the Rivora way.

Snook A Look is the reference run of the product engine. Every stage below happened, in order, with real exit conditions.

  • FrameA written thesis from a lived problem: waiting for tables in Dubai clubs. User, problem, bet, and kill-criteria on one page.
  • PrototypeA five-phase design brief and tappable dark-mode interface prototypes: map discovery, booking, matchmaking, and the loser-pays mechanic.
  • EngineerKotlin Multiplatform mobile apps, a booking backend with real-time availability, payments, chat, and a club-operator platform.
  • ValidateAutomated test suites, review gates on every merge, real-device testing across iPhone, iPad, and Android before submission.
  • ReleaseApp Store and Google Play submissions, production monitoring, and a public launch in Dubai.
  • EvolveLive telemetry and player feedback feed the roadmap: the app in the stores today is already generations past launch.

Proof, not promises

This is what the engine produces.

If your product deserves the same treatment, the conversation starts with the hard part, not a sales deck.
